KITTEN ADOPTIONS

What is the cost to adopt?

  • A pair of kittens is $250 and a single kitten is $150. This is a donation to our partner rescue Stray Cat Alliance.

    *Note: Per our partner rescue, most kittens will be required to go in pairs or to a home with another young and playful cat.

Do you do same day adoptions?

  • We do not offer same-day adoptions, because we want to ensure that our kittens are going to the best homes possible. However, to make the adoption process faster, you can apply to be a pre-approved adopter on our partner rescue’s website.

What is the adoption process? How long does it take?

  • The adoption process can vary per person, but on average it takes a few days to hear back! Here’s how to adopt one of our kittens:

    • Fill out your application on our partner’s website.

    • The rescue will contact you via email to set up a phone interview in about 1-3 days.

    • An adoption coordinator will assure that you and your kitten are the best fit for each other’s needs.

    • On your pick-up date, bring your cat carrier into the cafe, and complete your adoption contract.

KITTEN CAFE BOOKINGS

Does each person in my group need their own ticket?

  • Yes! Because The Kitten Cafe can only host a specific amount of people per experience, we need everyone to get their own ticket so we can make sure we’re not overbooked. This is to ensure that our kittens are not overwhelmed, and that there are plenty of kittens to go around during your visit!

Do I get physical tickets? Do I need to bring anything with me?

  • Nope! You do not need to print your tickets, because we have your information in our system and we will check you in upon arrival. (Make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes before your visit!)

Do you accept cash or credit cards?

  • We are cashless, and do not accept cash, but we do accept all major debit and credit cards.

Do I have to book in advance?

  • Technically, no. But we HIGHLY, highly recommend it, because we only allow in a limited number of walk-in guests per experience. By booking in advance, you are guaranteed to get kitten-time on the day that you want to!

Why can I only book a maximum group of 6?

  • We want to ensure that everyone has a wonderfully unique experience, so we limit the number of people that can come in one group. We never want it to feel as if someone is crashing a private event, so this helps us make The Kitten Cafe a fun environment for all visitors.

Does each person in my group need to sign their own waiver?

  • Yes. This is incredibly important for your safety and our kittens’, so you must have your waiver signed prior to your experience. The link to your waiver will be in your confirmation email.

Do I need to print out my waiver?

  • Nope! Once you sign it, we have it in our system.

I only got one waiver emailed to me, how can the rest of my group sign theirs?

  • To ensure the rest of your group signs their waivers, arrive 10-15 minutes early to your visit, so our team can help you.

Why don’t you allow children under 7 years old?

  • As much as we wish we could, having children under 7 years old is extremely risky for both the children and our kittens. Kittens are very small, incredibly fragile, and quite frankly, unpredictable. For the safety of your babies and ours, we strictly enforce our age policy.

Do you offer private experiences?

  • We do offer private experiences for $800 for an hour or $1500 for 2 hours. The maximum capacity for a private event is 18 people. For parties of children under the age of 13, there must be at least one adult per 3 children. To book a private event, head to our private events page. 

CANCELLATIONS

What is your cancellation policy?

  • You can cancel or reschedule your experience with a full refund up to 24 hours in advance using the link in your confirmation email. You can also email us at losangeles@crumbsandwhiskers.com. If it is less than 24 hours until your experience, we cannot guarantee a refund.

How long will my refund take?

  • Refunds typically take 5-10 days to process and show back up on your card.

TREATS & DRINKS

 I forgot to order food and drinks when I booked, can I still order?

  • Yes! You can email us your orders at losangeles@crumbsandwhiskers.com and we will simply charge the card you have on file. You may order via email 24 hours or more before the start of your experience. If you realize a little late, no worries! Arrive at least 10-15 minutes early to your visit and place your order in person.

Do I have to place a food/drink order in advance?

  • No, but we recommend that you do! We send all orders to our partner cafe 5 minutes before the start of your experience, so ordering in advance gives you peace of mind that you will get your treats, even if you are running a little late. Alternatively, you can arrive 10-15 minutes early and order with us in person.

PARKING AND ACCESSIBILITY

Do you offer parking?

  • We do not have a parking lot, however, there is metered street parking on Melrose, and on the other streets around the cafe.  

Is The Kitten Lounge wheelchair accessible?

  • The Kitten Cafe is wheelchair accessible. However, if you require extra special accommodation, please email us at losangeles@crumbsandwhiskers.com and we will do our best to assist you.

GIFT CARDS

Will my Crumbs and Whiskers gift card work at the kitten lounge?

  • Because we are a separate entity, your regular Crumbs and Whiskers gift cards will not work at The Kitten Cafe.

Do you offer gift cards for The Kitten Lounge?

Yes! We do not offer physical gift cards, but you can purchase a digital gift card for The Kitten Cafe HERE.
