Recently, our Washington DC café experienced an unexpected and devastating incident.

Someone broke into our café and caused significant property damage — destroying our vestibule, cameras, laptops, and other essential equipment. They acted extremely aggressively towards our team and our rescue cats, causing severe distress and trauma to everyone.

No staff, customers, or cats were physically harmed, and we’re deeply grateful for that. But everyone who experienced the violent aggression of the intruder has suffered greatly, both emotionally and psychologically.
